Chartered Clinical Psychologist
Joelle is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with more than 15 years’ experience working in the field of adult psychology. She worked in the NHS for many years, and has been in private practice since 2001.
Joelle is qualified to treat a broad spectrum of psychological problems, across a range of severity. She makes use of a number of psychotherapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy.
Joelle specialises in trauma-related difficulties and is trained to Level 1 in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Retraining). She also has an interest in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Mentalisation-based treatment, and short-term Psychodynamic Therapy.
Murray Small M.Soc.Sc., M.Sc., P.G.Dip., C.Psychol.
Consultant Clinical Psychologist
Murray Small is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who specialises in working with children and adolescents. He is also specifically trained in assessing children and adolescents with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Murray does extensive work within schools, and in the broader educational sector.
Murray worked within the NHS for 11 years, and was head of the Department of Psychology, Bromley Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Oxleas NHS Trust. He has run a private practice for children and adolescents since 1998.
We have a small number of associates to whom we refer from time to time, usually when we are unable to see someone within a short timeframe. All associates have the same registration and safeguarding clearance as our own.
All clinicians working in the practice have statutory registration with the Health Professions Council (HPC), are registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS), and have an up-to-date Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Clearance. The practice is also registered with the Data Protection Commission.
